چکیده

In this paper, we studied a mathematical model of tuberculosis with vaccination for the treatment tuberculosis. We considered an in-host that described interaction between Macrophages and Mycobacterium investigated effect treatments on uninfected macrophages. Optimal control is applied to show optimal effective strategies disease. The formula obtained using Hamiltonian function Pontryagin's maximum principle. Finally, perform numerical simulations support analytical results. results suggest or required if maximal transmission infection rate at which macrophages became infected large. tuberculosis. We controlis isobtained results. The thatcontrol

A mathematical model is presented in the present study to control‎ ‎the light propagation in an inhomogeneous media‎. ‎The method is ‎based on the identification of the optimal materials distribution‎ ‎in the media such that the trajectories of light rays follow the‎ ‎desired path‎. ‎The problem is formulated as a distributed parameter ‎identification problem and it is solved by a numerical met...

Optimal Control of Treatments in a Two-strain Tuberculosis Model

Optimal control theory is applied to a system of ordinary differential equations modeling a two-strain tuberculosis model. Seeking to reduce the latent and infectious groups with the resistant-strain tuberculosis, we use controls representing two types of treatments. The optimal controls are characterized in terms of the optimality system, which is solved numerically for several scenarios.

Multiobjective approach to optimal control for a tuberculosis model

Mathematical modelling can help to explain the nature and dynamics of infection transmissions, as well as support a policy for implementing those strategies that are most likely to bring public health and economic benefits. The paper addresses the application of optimal control strategies in a tuberculosis model. The model consists of a system of ordinary differential equations, which considers...

Predicting the Within-Host Dynamics of Tuberculosis

We present a within-host model for tuberculosis (TB) infections, which directly models the bacterial load over the course of the infection. This allows for a future multi-scale model which can make use of the link between pathogen load and transmission potential of an infected host. By modelling the interactions between the host immune system, the invading bacteria and granulomas which are char...

Optimal Control Applied in Coupled Within-host and Between-host Models

We formulate an immuno-epidemiological model of coupled “within-host” model of ODEs and “between-host” model of ODE and PDE, using the Human Immunodeficiency Virus (HIV) for illustration. Existence and uniqueness of solution to the “between-host” model is established, and an explicit expression for the basic reproduction number of the “between-host” model derived. Stability of disease-free and ...
